Feng Ru

 

        Feng Ru, born on January 12th, 1884, was the first flight vehicle designer, aircraft manufacturer, aviator, and captain of the revolutionary army. Feng Ru was the first martyr of the Chinese modern aviation industry as well, and is considered to be the “Father of Modern Chinese Aviation.” In September 1909, a plane designed by Feng Ru was successfully tested for the first time, turning the Chinese people’s long-term dream of flying in the sky into reality. This success marked the first glorious chapter in the history of Chinese dynamic manned flight.
